The Pros and Cons of an All-Inclusive Honeymoon

Buffets are unique in that you can fill your plate to the full and return ten times, yet you may never find something on it that satisfies you. Some restaurants may put their own spin on meals that you are not used to at home.

Activities
Pros

An all-inclusive resort seldom provides a cause to be bored. Most destinations have amazing workshops, watersport rentals, horseback riding, and even snorkeling. Every night has a dance party, musical concerts, parades, and karaoke. Beach parties and dance clubs are popular in the resort. 

Cons

The disadvantage of the best activities is their high cost. You are stuck in the resort, so they may charge whatever they want. The cost of a couples spa, however, might be reasonable. The resort typically encourages you to participate in other tours or activities that are not included in the main charge. Many of the free programs fill up fast, so if you want to attend that yoga session, get there early. It's difficult to locate a spot to relax when everyone is always engaged in the same activity.

Photography
Pros

Honeymoons often include hundreds of photos of the countryside and selfies, but only a handful of the real couple. It might be intimidating to ask strangers to stop their lives to take your photograph. This is why many resorts have a photographer who will follow you around and take images during your trip. 

At the end of your vacation, they present you with all of these images, as if you had been models throughout your honeymoon. They'll even set it to music on a slideshow for you.

Cons

Surprisingly, the photographer is not typically included in the all-inclusive pricing. Even if you buy them in quantity, all of those lovely, flawless photos they took throughout your vacation will only cost a few dollars each. Those photoshoots they give for "free" are typically difficult to pass up because the photographs are stunning. How can you say no to excellence, even if it is expensive?

Pros

Most all-inclusive vacation packages provide practically everything you need to have a pleasant time. You will not have to pay any additional fees for your lodging, meals, or most activities. Some resorts even provide savings on ticket trips. If you went to a resort that charges for anything extra, you may end up paying thousands of dollars more since each meal and night of fun adds up.  

Cons

There may be hidden costs in the tiny print. Think about your cellphone. Can you possibly get away from social media during your honeymoon? Many of these resorts do not have wifi or cell connection, so you are forced to hang out without broadcasting every move. The resorts "get you" with souvenirs and whatever additional that you require.
