Ah, there is nothing like going on vacation with your special someone. It can be a fun-filled and adventurous, just relaxing, visiting family, or a romantic getaway. It doesn’t matter what it is you’re doing, as long as it is together. Sometimes vacations are surprises, or spontaneous, and others are carefully planned.

So, what do you do, when you want it to be an extra special vacation with memories that will last forever? You have decided that you want to spend the rest of your life with this person, and are going to do a marriage proposal. This will usually involve a romantic location while vacationing. This could be up on a mountain top with a beautiful view, the beach at sunset, the place you met, a special restaurant, and more. This can represent a challenge, as timing is everything, but you must also be flexible. if it is raining, do it the next day, as you do want it to be perfect, or choose a suitable alternative. The same goes for a special restaurant. You may want to book a reservation at your favorite table or spot, to guarantee to get it on the day of your arrival.

This is a special occasion, so you want to make sure you do it right the first and only time. If the engagement ring is a surprise, stick with a round solitaire engagement ring. They are traditional and stunning. If she wanted a different style, you can always get another one in the future. Most do prefer the round, as other shapes tend to cut into fingers when bumped on things.

Perhaps, you don't know where you want to propose? As for your memorable spot, you don't have to panic, just sit down and think about what makes the two of you happy. Maybe your future spouse has a special memory of a place they went as a kid and makes them happy. This could be a swing from their childhood or place in the woods they played in. The surprise will be going to that cherished memory, so they will be very happy, then to see you drop to your knees will be even better. You are sure to get a yes after that.

Make sure to check with friends and family before picking any location. You might not know all the memories from a place. Some could be bad, so do your homework. Friends and family know everything and can help you with your choice. Maybe they will even come along if you want them too. You can even do a song and dance routine, however, they can be tacky, so leave it simple and romantic.

Proposals don't always have to be romantic, although they always are anyway. If you and your partner are adventurous and outdoorsy, you may want to pick a proposal that is a more high adventure. Try going on a hike at sunset, or rock climb to the top of a tower and propose up there. If you are into water activities, you could propose on a boat ride or on the beach. Maybe you are into the mountains, so you could propose on an ATV ride or a camping trip.

Remember the most important thing. This is your day. If you are simple people, keep it simple as it will work out better. Don't try to do something that you would never ever do usually. If you are adventurous, then, by all means, take that route. No matter what you pick, it will still be romantic, as this is the love of your life. Good luck!
