Where Should You Take a Break?

When you define gap year, you think of taking a year off. However, in most cases they call it a year on (the road). Many people, especially young people, take a year off after school, or before college. These people tend to do one of two things, stay at home or travel. Do you need to take a break from the strain of life? Then maybe you should think about traveling.

Backpacking Through Europe for Gap Years

Many newly graduated high school students like to take a trip abroad. They hike through Europe and see all that the European landscape has to offer. From England to Germany, students hike and spend their time either in the woods or in hotels. The sites include Big Ben, the Vatican, the Eiffel Tower, and many other great attractions throughout Europe. There are so many places to visit via backpacking through the continent to see, no wonder it takes a whole year to see the beauty.

Traveling Internationally

There are many beautiful sites to take in all around the world. Try the Great Wall of China, the massive wall built around 300 B.C. that stretches nearly 13,200 miles long and is 45 feet high in some parts. A massive structure seen from space, try to view it from the ground. Another amazing place to see is Egypt, the pyramids, the sphinx, the temples, and the tombs make a great destination. Egypt is extremely rich in history and swamped in mystery. So if you want to travel and take a break at the Pyramids of Giza go for it, there are many different things to do. Maybe you could take a trip to England. Take in the sights of the Queen’s Palace, Big Ben and the London Eye. You could go to France and see the Eiffel tower and take in all the food and culture there. Then take a trip to Rome and take in the Vatican, the Leaning Tower of Pizza, and the Coliseum. Maybe you want to go to one of the Gulf of Mexico islands and take a palm beach vacation with drinks, beaches, food, and relaxation. Iceland is a beautiful place to visit with all the cliffs, beaches, waterfalls, ports, and fjords. Iceland would be great to take in for a week around the island.

Take a Trip in the United States

There are so many places you could visit within the United States as well. Like many cities, country-sides, and islands. You can go mountain climbing in the Appalachian Mountains or take a chilly climb through the Rocky Mountains. You can go to Hawaii or Puerto Rico to visit the beaches and take in the beautiful view of paradise. With many big cities like New York, New Orleans, Los Angeles, Boston, Dallas, and Seattle there is a various number of places to visit and all their known for their own amazing qualities. Like New York is the city that never sleeps, so you can vacation and never sleep. Or New Orleans, the Big Easy, bars line Bourbon Street, and they’re open all night. Boston is known for culture and the history of the origins of the United States. Dallas is known for being Unique. Los Angeles the city of Angels and dreams.

So whether you want to take a trip within the United States, around the globe, or go backpacking through Europe, there’s a place for you to travel to. Many other places that weren’t mentioned are just as worthy as others that were. There is a place for you anywhere you desire to go. Whether you want to take a camping trip away, a city trip around the town, a stay-cation, a hiking trip across mountains, or a beautiful island paradise, the choice is yours. You work hard and you deserve a break!
