  • Consume a cup of warm water with the freshly squeezed lemon juice on every morning on an empty stomach.

Fenugreek Seeds

  • Fenugreek is the rich source of potassium and dietary fiber content. It is very effective to lower the high blood pressure. Potassium binds with salt and removes it from the body that helps to lower the blood pressure.

How to consume?

  • Boil two teaspoons of fenugreek seeds in one glass of water for about two – three minutes and then strain it.
  • Put the boiled seeds in a blender and make a paste.
  • Consume this paste two times in a day, once in the morning on an empty stomach and once in the evening.  Repeat this remedy for at least three months for best results.

Coconut Water

Coconut water is a good source of potassium, magnesium and vitamin C and helps to decrease the systolic blood pressure. Drinking the coconut water 3times in a day is good to decrease the high blood pressure levels.

Watermelon Seeds

Watermelon seeds contain a compound known as cucurbocitrin, which helps to widen the blood capillaries. Thus it helps to lower the blood pressure due to its vasodilator effect.

How to consume?

  • Mix equal quantities of dried watermelon seeds and poppy seeds (khus khus) and Grind them. Take one teaspoon of this mixture in the morning on an empty stomach and in the evening.
  • Alternatively, one can add two teaspoons of crushed dried watermelon seeds into a cup of boiled water. Let it steep for about an hour and then strain it.  Consume four – five tablespoons of this water throughout the day at regular intervals.

Banana

  • Banana is rich in potassium, vitamin B6, vitamin C, and magnesium. Regular intake of banana is good to control blood pressure. Along with banana, raisins, dried apricot, currants, orange juice, spinach, sweet potatoes (baked), and winter squash also works wonder.

How to consume?

  • Eat one or two bananas every day.

Garlic:

  • Garlic produces the nitric oxide and hydrogen sulfide which helps in the relaxation of blood vessels. Thus it is helpful to lower the blood pressure. It can be used in both raw and cooked from.

How to consume?

  • Take two garlic cloves and Swallow it. It can be taken along with a cup of milk.
  • If you cannot like raw garlic or it results in burning sensation then you can choose another option is that you may mix five or six drops of garlic juice in four teaspoons of water and take it two times in a day.

Onion Juice

  • Onions contain quercetin which is antioxidant that helps to remove toxins from the body and quite beneficial to lower the blood pressure.

How to consume?

  • You can eat one medium-sized, raw onion as a salad.
  • Another option is one can also mix ½ teaspoon of onion juice and honey.
  • Consume it two times a day for one to two weeks.
