The box of essential should contain toiletries, pet food (if your have a pet), first aid kit, snacks or canned food. Basically anything you will be in need of for your first night at your new home. Make sure you know how to properly pack all your items before loading them in the moving van. This is crucial to a damage-free move. Other valuables such as jewels and old family china should can be stored in a box in your personal car. That way there is no chance they would get lost or even worse, stolen.
  5. Have a Backup Plan.
    Something might always go wrong in the process. For example, you might not be able to find an available moving van, or your move might take longer than expected. Having suitable alternatives to such problems will surely help you a great deal to relocate without stress or at least to minimize the pressure of the moving process.
