Remember orchids are mostly native to the tropics and should not exceed 30 degree Celsius. Moisture is one of the most important environmental factor for their care. Orchids need warm temperature and high humidity that should be above 40%.
Orchids are one of the most advanced families of the plant kingdom that developed different methods of reproduction. Using the usual sexual fertilization from the pollen and the asexual one, that consist in cutting a flower stem (above the knot in the middle) after flowering and subsequent fall of flower.
