The popularity of canonized books is due in part to the morals and stories the books discuss that continue to make them motivational long after their publication. As with classic books, musicians try to do something similar with songs, helping artists make music that will continue to be heard and enjoyed well after their death. Some would say that a classic song must come from an iconic group, while others would consider a classic song as a one-hit wonder.

Believe it or not, grunge music had been available long before the end of the twentieth century. Flannel has not always been the attire of grunge, but the fight against the government has been. The gap between rocking out is greater than most metal fans desire, and bridging that gap is usually difficult. It is never an unacceptable time to unleash a barrage of sweep picked guitars onto a metal fan's ear drums, and every second they get, it happens.

Try telling someone from the Baby Boomer era that digital albums are better than vinyl. He’ll laugh in your face, and give you a list of arguments as to why vinyl is better than digital LPs. Both sides of the music war may produce rational points, but neither medium is entirely better than the other. It is non-arguable that each music medium has its advantages over the other, but they both have various flaws that make them as undesirable as they are attractive.

Elvis Presley is largely regarded as the King of Rock and Roll, but his trip to the peak was much more unpretentious than you might imagine, growing up a quiet boy without any siblings, who was very close to his parents, and teased in class for being a “momma’s boy” before starting his profession in the music industry.

The digital revolution killed off the CD. The cassette player was made obsolete by the Compact Disc during the middle of the 1990s. When cassette players were invented in the 1980s, did they have the same effect on vinyl discs as CDs had on cassettes? Despite the invention of newer technology in digital songs and MP3 players, vinyl remains as a popular item that has stood the test of time. Hit LPs become collector’s products, mainly from artists such as the Beatles or Rolling Stones.

Whatever the industry, revolutions aren't plentiful enough to easily find. Typically there's a leader who destroys barriers and opens the door for others to follow. This is definitely true within the music industry. With the coming of the Beatles after Elvis Presley's revolution, popular music changed considerably. Even though the Beatles got off to a bad start in America with Capitol Records, their popularity in the UK had already given them a firm stepping stone to become legends.
