Money - it's the one thing that almost all of us worry about. The fear of not making ends meet, the worry aboout mounting bills, all play havoc in our lives. But in essence, it's not the actual money we worry about. It's the entrapment of not being able to do certain things without it. Turning our thinking around from fear to celebration, is one way of dealing positively with our financial situation.

In setting up any kind of business, the thing that most people fear most, is failure. It is that very fear that many find disturbing and unsettling when things don't happen immediately. The reality is, however, that almost all businesses will experience failure and struggle many times before finally achieving that ultimate success. Embracing and acknowledging failure is a necessary part of the journey towards success.

Creating a business online has become a wonderful way of making a living whilst working from home. Unfortunately, many of the businesses fail to thrive simply because most people give up whenever the first hint of failure rears its head. I suggest that one way of being a successful player, is to actually plan for the failures along the way. If we can see the failures as glitches along the pathway, then we truly can succeed.

Throughout our lives we make reslolutions to change for the better, particularly when we are about to herald in the New Year. Sadly, many of us forget about our goals almost before they are put in place. The primary reason for this failure is because the goals have lacked specificity and because they have not been written down and made visible to us each and every day. Goals must be spcific and time-related in order to be effective.

In the words of Michelangelo, "The greater danger for most of us lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low, and achieving our mark". As the carpenters of our lives, it is therefore in our interests to ensure that our day to day work serves as a safe platform towards our future goals.

What is your life plan? Do you have dreams? Do you even dare to dream? The wonderful business philosopher Jim Rohn who died only a few days ago said this, "There are only three colors, ten digits, and seven notes. It's what we do with them, that's important." What life wil you plan for yourself with your three colour, ten digits, or seven notes? Dare to dream.

Throughout life we are often beset by problems that challenge who we are. Occasionally some of these problems may seem insurmountable and have the capacity to completely derail us. Serious problems can leach our confidence, shatter our dreams and render us incapable of moving forward. However, we must define our future by the wisdom of our setbacks. We must climb those new peaks, and boldly face our competitors.

It is a fact that throughout the world, all too many of us have got so caught up in work, that stockpiling leave has become a habit. Unfortunately, many of us are disregarding the fact that holidays, far from being a luxury, are an absolute necessity if we are to retain our mental and physical health. Taking regular breaks forces us to relax, to switch of from the stresses of work, and to return to work, energised and much more productive.

Adversity is part of life. It knocks on our door from time to time and occasionally we feel that we do not have the resources to deal with it. However, if we can learn from adversity, if we can accept that something has happened and stop playing victim, we can emerge a better person on the other side.

It is a reality that too many of us fail to take the requisite breaks from work that are necessary for our optimum health. It is also a fact that we have become such a workaholic nation that we have forgotten how to relax or get fit. In essence, we have lost the art of getting in touch with our inner beings. All is not lost, however. We can regain our vitality by taking some holidays and thereby, perhaps, re-inventing ourselves!

Throughout the world, the fashion appears to be to procrastinate on taking holidays. For whatever reasons, people are stockpiling their annual leave, perhaps waiting for the 'rainy'day' to come along. The chance is, however, that that rainy day might never eventuate. Besides that, downtime is a way of re-charging our batteries, energising our mindset, and relaxing with our families. And since we only live once, we need to make the most of it!

We often hear people say that they just can't afford to travel. Some decide they will do it when the children grow up, or when they retire, or maybe even when they have won the lottery. Sadly, for some, those days may never come. The reality is that if you do want to travel you need to view this life, not as a dress rehearsal, but as living in the 'now'. Scale down your material possessions, whittle your spending, and start living.

At different stages in our lives, each of us is challenged to face adversity. Sometimes we come to a crossroad and we find difficulty in determining what pathway we want to take. But think back to our childhood days. That's when we were strong and invincible. There was nothing we couldn't do. If we could just go back and harness that courage and confidently step forward, we could change our lives for the better.

It's my belief that if you have a good idea, you should keep it something of a secret until you have tested its possible worth. Many wonderful ideas are consigned to the scrap heap simply because the owner of has attempted to discuss it with others, and been told it would never be accepted. The naysayers of this world have much to answer for. However, those who push on with determination and drive are often seen to triumph in the end.
