Eric Bray has had a diverse 30 year career that has covered marketing, company development and management, spot gold and currency dealing, fine art brokerage, laboratory establishment and management for the conservation of cultural objects and materials, gilding and the treatment of important fine art and historic objects. He has worked in Australia, Switzerland and the US He was trained to be a spot market broker in gold and currencies by a leading Hong Kong Trading company in the 1980's and he worked as a dealer in Sydney. His university training focused on Applied Science in the Conservation of Cultural Materials and he set up and was responsible for the development of a conservation laboratory in the Australian Federal Capital, Canberra where many of the most important paintings and frames from the Parliamentary collection and others from the National Portrait Gallery were treated. He specialized in gilded surfaces in his training and is skilled as a master gilder and gilding conservator. Eric also has extensive knowledge and experience in company management, and marketing.
