When considering a work from home mlm business - so many people are either afraid or put off at the thought of starting one simply for the reason that they're afraid they'll have to morph into Super Joe (or Jane) Salesperson. Well that is plainly false. Don't misunderstand me here, having excellent people skills, being able to develop a rapport, and even "closing" skills, are all valuable skills to develop. After all, you "sell yourself" to folks every day of your life: friends, your boss/employees, your spouse, your kids.
As for the need to develop into a professional sales person, telemarketer or home party pro, that is absolutely not required. Unless of course you take pleasure in doing that. Then by all means, have at it. But don't suppose for a moment that it is a necessity for building a successful work from home mlm business. In all actuality, turning into a slick salesman is a surefire way to fail, at least for the long haul.
A great sales person a failure in mlm? But how is that possible Clint? Well I'll tell you, since you really want to know. As a superstar seller, you might sponsor scads of folks in your very first two months in your new business, and you're just sure you're on the road to a big time mlm income. But by the completion of your first two months, you discover that nearly every one of those reps you sponsored has already dropped out. Why? Because those people you signed up are NOT superstar sellers, and they can't duplicate what you're doing. People can't be duplicated!
That's why having a system in place that sorts the suspects from the prospects for you, so that you don't need to do any selling, is so vitally important. People can't be duplicated, *but systems can. And if you have any clue about building a successful work at home mlm business, you grasp the importance and power of duplication for long term success.
Effective mlm business building systems are important since they help to level the playing field, you know, give everyone the same opportunity to achieve real success. But it has to be the Right system, one that anybody can use, at any skill level and any income level. If not, not all of your group will be able to duplicate your results.
*Important Note: Your system must also be based on the right mlm business building philosophy, because in all actuality, systems are only semi-duplicatable. Why do I say that? Well, in addition to the fact that it's true, I say it for the reason that, just like people don't align themselves with a business because of the business, they also don't join your system because of the system. They enroll in your business and utilize your system because of YOU! People align with people that they believe will bring both value and power to them when they join them.
So, in order to make yourself into somebody that people are "attracted" to and want to join with, your system should be founded on Attraction Marketing and help you to Brand Yourself. When you brand yourself as an authority who provides value, and utilize your system's marketing tools to sort out the tire kickers and window shoppers who squander your time and distract you from the genuine prospects, then the genuine prospects are attracted to you, searching for what you have to offer (a solution), and there is no call to sell anything.
As the saying goes…amateurs sell, professionals sort. Which do you want to be?
If you want to cut down the learning curve and discover how to develop into a professional now, then do the necessary investigation needed to find a system that fits all of the criteria we just talked about, and get plugged in. Then get your people plugged in it as well. Your future is up to you, so keep working, studying and applying until you reach your goals. Ponder this - if you don't, will you future be any better than your present?
As always, keep it real, and keep taking action!
