Clothes complying with newest trends, luxurious watches, expensive cars, fancy cosmetics etc. are all bought because they are desired not needed. All man needs to survive is food, warmth and something to cover from bad weather conditions, anything above that is a facility. People buy most of the stuff like dieting pills or expensive suits, because of emotional reasons.

Unconscious brain says :
"I need you to improve my appearance."
That leads to creating an excuse by conscious mind, why this action is required:
"I will be healthier" or "Man in my position should have a nice suit…"

Have you bought that thing?
