Money is just paper that society elevates because of what it represents. Money would hardly mean anything to you if it didn’t symbolize a system of credit and a system of payment and expense. Therefore, you don’t love money. You enjoy the modern comforts that money can buy. A job is what earns you money, therefore you want to work and live a comfortable life not having to stress about where tomorrow’s rent or utility bill is coming from. It is okay to want money. However, what you really want deep down is to fit into society so that you can live a comfortable, happy existence.

What about attraction? What makes someone attractive nowadays? Is it the age old answer of money and power? Not really. What people do find attractive is the confidence that money brings. There is something charming about a person who is carefree and loves to have fun—someone whose life isn’t dominated by stress, money making and worry.

All of these things can be attained if you want it badly enough. You can work on your confidence and you can build wealth. However, no one said it was easy to live the American Dream. It takes hard work, persistence and yes, sometimes a little bit of luck. So instead of dreaming, focus on the practical side of things. How does one go about building wealth? Is it not by doing a job (or owning a business) that one excels at and maintaining a steady income over a long period of time?
