Two Conditions That Will Affect Your Energy

Being diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome (cfs) at an early age of fifteen, 24 years ago, I enjoyed reading and studying new things. So when I learned in my nursing studies that nutriton was an important part in building my body up and allowing it to naturally heal itself I was thrilled to have a starting part to overcome my tiredness that I still felt at times. This was when I began to look at nutrition and other conditions related to eating that would affect my energy and cause me to be tired. In this article I am going to explain two that I found which were Yeast Infection and Gluten Intolerant.

Yeast Infection

Yeast Infection is also referred to as Candida. Its effects are increased flatulence, constant tiredness, and a bloated stomach after eating. Candida (yeast) thrives on acidic and sugary foods which are breads, pastas, baked goods, potatoes, and dry fruit, so the first thing I did to stop the overgrowth of yeast in my bowels was to eliminate all of the above from my diet, if you are diabetic you need consult a profession before doing any type of diet changes. And I began to eat more neutral and alkaline foods like fish, celery, sea vegetables, almonds, pumpkin seeds, onions, blackberries, light rye or millet to help my bowels to eliminate the waste. Secondly I went to the health food store for support and I found a yeast elimination kit to use daily, which included acidophilus, so I could start to build healthy flora in my intestines. I had to repeat this elimination kit three times, but the end result was that my vaginal itchiness was gone, less bloating and gas, and way more energy to do the things that I loved to do.

Gluten Intolerant

Gluten Intolerant is also referred to as celiac disease. While studying during my nutrition course I noticed whole grains being associated with increased energy due to the B vitamins in them so I tried them once again, but after a week I felt sluggish, slept poorly, and had a lot of gas and bloating after meals. At first I thought these were the signs that my body was cleaning out and kept the course, but by the end of two weeks I had started to feel unhealthy, had lost ten pounds, and people were noticing that my face was looking pale, so I went back to white breads and soon after found my energy increasing and overall feeling much better. Later on in my studies I discovered that undigested wheat protein could cause this problem, which is commonly referred to as being gluten intolerant, which is found in wheat, barley, and rye. I now eat less white bread and more light rye, herb, or pumpernickel bread.

In eliminating yeast and building healthy flora in my intestines I gained energy from doing so and even more so when I changed what breads I ate. But you need to go see your doctor to be checked out if you believe you have a yeast infection or even gluten intolerant.
