Dog is a best friend of its owner. While considering for pets many prefer to choose dog as their pet. Dog is very intelligent, smart and very obedience to its master. It protects its master and his property in his absence or while its master is in deep sleep. Dogs are very calm and friendly but it gets anger when someone come to its territory or tries to harm.
Dogs need some exercise and training for its health to fit. Nowadays dogs are taken for walk once or twice a day. This is good exercise for both dog and its master. But while taking dogs for walk you need remember these tips.
1. Train dog some commands such as “sit” or “come”. This will help you to have a good control on your dog while you go for walk. If it tries to misbehave, these commands will help you to bring them under your control.
2. Take your dog for walk daily once or twice at correct time. This will help it to understand it is a daily routine and will obey when you take for walk. Spend as much time as with your pets this will help you to build a bond with you and your pet.
3. Do not try to pull your dog and walk fast. Let it take time to smell and understand the place. Smelling is biggest merit of dogs which gives them idea on which animal is near or what is danger hidden in that place.
4. Do not let you dog freely roam in public place or property. It can cause any accident from vehicle or get wound from some things in that place or may attack strangers. So try to control your pet under your control.
5. Introduce your dog to friends who come with their dog for walk. This will help them to have a social relation with your friend’s pet. Adjust your walking speed and walking distance according to your dog’s age and health. Maintain a safe distance from strangers in order to stay dog in your control. If you take your dog near to stranger it may attack or bite them.
Dogs need proper food, hygiene and good shelter to rest. Sometime dog gets agitate when someone goes near it when they are barking, sleeping or eating. Try to keep any barriers between dog and strangers who approach to avoid them from attacking or biting. Walking is essential for dog to get relief from boredom and to get proper exercise for their health to remain fit and fine.
