Tuesday morning 9:50 am, I'm sitting here in my pj's with "Mike and Mike" on the tube. My thoughts turned to when I first started Network Marketing, which was some 15 or so years ago. The first company I signed with back then introduced my wife and I into a world we were unaware of. They taught us to make a list of everyone we knew. This list would be used to recruit new business partners. We had to learn a prepared script so when we made calls to our list, we could give them the spill of how great this company was and how much money we could make if we just followed the leaders. We had to purchase tapes and books from our up-line to help them and supposedly to help use build our business. We were required to attend weekly meetings, bring out orders, buy products and let everyone know how we were progressing.
Sorry had to take a break and cook breakfast for the wife.
Back to where I was. The next thing we learned was the 3-foot rule. You know - anyone within 3-feet of you was fair game to tell them about a company or product which they had no desire to hear about or urge to buy. TALK ABOUT ISSUES!!! Sounds pretty bleak doesn't it?
Well things have not gotten much better when you look at how some MLM's are during business these days. Yes, we have more modern or Hi Tech ways of doing the same old thing and get the same old results. Take a good look at the company you're with, do still find yourself following the same old techniques? Do you feel like you are spinning your wheels or throwing away your money?
