What are the mindset strategies that you should have in your dental practice? Dental practice consultants adviser Ed O' Keefe will give you the kind of mindset strategies that you should have in your business. The dental practice consultants adviser will also share to you what you need to do to feel the positive energy that will help you achieve your goals in your dental practice. And this is something that the dental practice consultants adviser focuses specifically at their dental practice website!

The Mindset Strategies...

As a dental practice consultants adviser, I have a firm belief. I believe that one of the key ways to eliminate the negativity in your life, as well as in your dental practice, is to create a bigger, brighter future and then spend every ounce of your energy moving towards that kind of future. It's because now you're not going to have time for stupid things that suck your energy; you don't have time for negativity that's not going to help you at all! What you should do is have a "positive self-talk". Back in high school, I read a book called “Learned Optimism” by Martin Seligman. In his book, he did a whole research study with professional athletes. And he noticed that athletes who ended up losing had a completely different way of describing their experiences and talking to themselves than athletes who won. Athletes who won, whenever they had a failure, always negated their failure saying: " Yeah, that failure happened, but next time I'm going to learn from it and I'm going to continue to move!”. You see, their failures were temporary experiences that are now in their past; whereas losers use these failures as something that's going to be pervasive and something that's going to be long-lasting and they'll use words like “this always happens to us...", "we never can make it right...", "we have to live this way because we're losers...”, etc. and they always use language like that.

The mindset strategies that I'm going to share to you as a dental practice consultants adviser are two things:

Mindset Strategy#1: Be Aware Of Your Emotional State...

First, start being aware of what you say and what you think about on a daily basis. Listen to your inner voice. Just be aware of it. And then, if you find yourself being negative, just say something like "Stop!", and then redirect your focus. So if you start saying something like "This marketing won't work...", "I cant do this...", or "I always have bad staff...”, what you should do is you just stop, take a deep breath, and say something like this: "No, I just haven't found the right person yet...", "I'm going to try again...", "I'm going to do something different, this just might not be the right piece for me...", or "I don't know what's wrong, but I'm going to find a way!". So with this, you're starting to use positive languaging. You're not negating, you're not ignoring things that are going wrong in your business or your life or your dental practice, because that's just stupidity, right? If you ignore it, it just grows. What we're talking about is making sure that your mindset, your energy, and your emotions, should be powerful so that you can handle any kind of situation. And this leads me to my favorite strategy as a dental practice consultants adviser to change your emotions instantly... by using the power of your physiology! You know, one of the things that most people don't realize is that all these psychologists, all these self-help gurus always talk about thoughts and how you got to change your thoughts. What I found is that if I change my physiology, take a deep breath and re-focus myself that way, my thoughts will automatically change with me! One of the things that we talk about in our live seminars is that if you look at somebody who's anxious, depressed, sad, mad, or whatever negative resourceful emotion that they might experience on a daily basis... how would you see them? You'd see them with their shoulders hunched down, head hanging, with a shallow and crappy breathing, right? So for this person to change his emotional state, he should change his body posture: his shoulders should be laid back, his head should be up, and his breathing should be up, full and vibrant... and that person would look more confident with a positive attitude. So, we can see here that you can change your emotional state instantly by changing your physiology. That's what your emotional state is all about, take control of it and master them all the time!

Mindset Strategy#2:Listen To The People Around You...

Now, the second strategy that I will give you as a dental practice consultants adviser involves listening to your staff and everybody around you. The last thing you need is a "cancer" sitting inside your dental practice. And here's the other thing: when some people see a person with a bad attitude in your practice, they just say “Oh, that's just the way they are...”. Well, it's true, but they don't need to be that way in your dental office, in your dental practice and in your business, screwing up your relationship with your patients or other staff members, right? And patients, when they come into your dental office, the last thing they need when they go into your office is that they're going to be listening to a person in your staff that's complaining how bad her day was. Somebody jokingly said to me once with a crappy voice (as I was getting a refill of something): "Oh, you're so high maintenance because you're so needy...", and I said to her, “The last time I checked, this was a place where you go when you need service...” and you know that energy is off... you can feel it and you can sense it!

So as a dental practice consultants adviser, I advise you to be aware of yourself first, and then the people around you. Now, the action step that I like to challenge you with is to just, for one full day, promise yourself you will not get stuck in negativity. Just promise yourself. So you say like " Today is going to be the day that I will be powerful; I will be energetic; I'm going to use Ed's strategies to be positive; I'm going to smile more; I'm going to walk more vibrantly, walk more confidently and make it a great day in my dental practice!". Today is that day!
