When you start to use the power of the Six Sigma methods, the trained professionals will work to improve the quality of service and productivity from the beginning to end of the belt levels for your organization. These professionals do understand the methods and know which will best work for the large projects at the Black belt level or a smaller project where a Green belt can handle the project successfully.

When anyone hears certain phrases like Black or Green belt they automatically think of martial arts, but in reality the belt colors and levels in Six Sigma is a way of determining what position and size project each person is qualified to be a part of. Black belts generally run Six Sigma projects for huge companies with mega-bucks so their trainers must really be well qualified and know the methods inside and out, just in case there is a problem that Black belts need to consult someone on, to get the whole project back on track ASAP. These unforeseen interruptions on the projects could easily jeopardize the whole project without the Master Black belts being there as consultants.

Black belts occupy the top level and are in charge of the large projects which will be using Six Sigma methods to organize and get specifics on quality control within a corporation. For smaller project, a Green belt can take the reigns if they are trusted enough, and to ensure that the project will be successful, both Black and Master Black belts are on standby to be consultants. Yellow belts occupy the next level down and work as supporting staff for the upper level belts. They function in the collecting and analyzing data, as well as suggesting changes to improve the quality of different levels.

White belts, at the bottom of the tier, will work with local resources and the Champions, Black or Green belts as a sort of middle man. They will not have any say in the project and will do only as directed by Black or Green belt leaders.

In order for Six Sigma methods to be used by organizations, knowledgeable individuals will collect, analyze, measure and create results. They will suggest improvement plans and monitor those projects when they are put into action. If implemented correctly and everyone cooperates with change, the results will lead the company to a more successful future in quality control. Once quality is taken care of, the rest of the business should thrive. It is something that has to be continually worked on and by using Six Sigma, companies can find resolutions for their employee problems. Analyzing the quality of different aspects of the business should lead the analysts straight to the portion of the company that is requiring the most work.
