When someone say camping, people usually imagine a place in the middle of nowhere, a small tent, rain and bears. Of course, this is exaggeration, because camping today doesn't include such things. People today have a variety of choices where to go and places where they want to stay. There are so many camp sites that one can choose climate, time of the year, gear that suits them, etc. There are campsites where you can camp only in a tent, but there are also many caravan camping sites.
We live in a really modern world, which means that many things are available to us, but it also means that people work harder than ever, and that they need their holidays more than ever. All we ever hear about is the category of people called workaholics and about stress work brings. Therefore it is understandable is someone wants to go on a camping holiday, but decides against the tent, and wants to spend it at a caravan camping site.
There are many caravan camping sites all over the world, and the extensive database on the Internet helps people find a suitable one. There are also many types of caravan homes one can purchase, depending on their needs. Some are made for small families, some for larger, but most come with a rather standard equipment, which is: electric or a gas stove, electricity, a shower and a toilet, a sink, some sofas or even beds, CD, DVD and MP3 players, a TV set, etc. so basically everything you might need at home.
Some would say that staying at caravan camping sites defeats the purpose of camping, but some beg to differ. We are all different, and have different tastes, and if one doesn't feel the need to sleep in a tent, why would they have to? Camping offers many day activities outside, and all of those activities keep us young. Swimming in mountain lakes gives people one of the best feelings in the world, because the water is crystal clear. Hiking in the mountains lets people breathe fresh air, and eating fish one caught gives us a feeling we contributed to our meal. Plus, eating fish is very healthy.
When one goes camping, there's no cigarette smoke, there is no loud music, or crowded beaches where you can't even swim normally. There's no restaurant food, expensive shops and malls where you spend the whole day deciding what to buy. After you've spent the whole out in the open, breathing the clean air, you can go back to the caravan camping site and relax in a bed with your favorite song or a book.
Not all of us have an equally high spirit for adventure, and some people aren't comfortable spending the night out in the open. On the other hand, there are people who have babies who can't sleep in tents, and having a caravan is a great help. It means you can take along anything you might need. They are also great for friends who are planning a trip together and all in all a great thing to have. Most of caravan camping sites have plenty of parking space.
The fact that you'll be staying in a "room" at a caravan camping site doesn't mean you won't leave it to go out and have a good time in the nature, it just means that you'll be more comfortable during the night, and perhaps when it rains or gets windy. One should, however, keep in mind that camping is still camping, and that most of the time should be spent outside, not playing games in a caravan.
