Having goals is an important part of planning for your success. If you have a home business of your own hopefully you've written a few goals down and read them on a consistent basis.
The question now is are you writting your goals down in pen or pencil? What difference does that make anyway?
I always write something in pen to make sure it is permanent. It's harder to change something written in pen without drawing a line through it and starting over.
If you write a goal for your home business in pencil how easy is it to change that. It's very simple to erase something and rewrite it if you don't hit your goal you are after.
Another way to think of this is how committed are you to the goal you are writing down. Because writing something in pencil is so easy to change to me it signifies a commitment that is not as solid as one written in pen.
We could probably be talking about basic terminology here or we could be talking about the future success of your business.
I like to write everything down I'm going to do in pen. I always include my daily to-do- list!
As I complete items on it I just draw lines thru them and move on to the next thing. It is amazing how much work a person can get done when they do this simple little step.
Goal writting can help you easily achieve the goals that you want and get the new ones as well. There's nothing wrong with setting big goals and not hitting him as long as you're moving your business forward as well.
Alot of people set unmeasureable goals they never will see. If you are the kind of person that sets goals and really works behind it it will happen.
Being consistent about goal setting has an effort behind the achievement you are after. For example, do you want to quit your full-time job in one year?
The strategy that you need would be to put your business on a part time basis to meet your goal. If you are only willing to work a couple hours a week chances are you will not be full-time one year from now.
In summary I encourage you to show some commitment to your goals by writing them down in pen. Then put in the effort to actually achieve those.
