I was searching the internet and came across a story about the death of Captain Phil Harris from the TV show "Deadliest Catch". I have been an avid fan of the show since it started several years ago. When I saw the headline that he had died I began thinking to myself, "what good is all that money if you abuse yourself and can't enjoy it?" The same thing can be applied to your MLM success. At the end of the day, a billion dollars doesn't matter if you don't have your health.
It was with that in mind that I came up with these 5 ways to save yourself from the same fate.
First of all, exercise must become a part of your daily routine. It only takes 30-40 minutes per day to make a huge difference in health. You are probably thinking you don't have time as it is. I listen to my self improvement courses while working out everyday so I can knock two things out at once.
Secondly, evaluate your current diet plan and make modifications if necessary. If you are on the beer and pizza diet, no amount of physical activity will help you in the long run. Look at everything you are consuming and make sure you have plan and are eating healthy foods.
Next, be sure to take time for yourself everyday. You can take 10-15 minutes and clear your mind and meditate. One thing I like to do if have a daily affirmation meditation in the mornings and it always helps me get started on the right track.
Laughing is one of the most overlooked habits that can provide great mental benefits. You don't always have to be so serious. Take some time every day to lighten your mood by reading some jokes or comics. You will be surprised how a good laugh can turn your entire day around.
Finally, limit your alcohol and tobacco usage. I know these can be some hard habits to restrict, but years of either one will shorten your life dramatically. Personally, I am a microbrew-a-holic and not in the sense that I drink a ton of it, but I love it. One thing I recently realized about my habit is when I don't drink for a couple days my energy level is higher and I just feel better overall.
I didn't want to write this article to preach, but when a guy that a lot of people watched dies prematurely it made me take a step back and look at my life. Financial freedom, money, and travel don't make a bit of a difference if you aren't healthy or well enough to enjoy them. No amount of MLM success will mean anything if you are dead at 50 years old because of neglecting your lifestyle.
Are you willing to take a challenge? I am challenging all who read this to take a step back from your life and evaluate it. Are you doing some of the things we talked about or none of them? There is one thing that is sure in life, we will all pass, but we can help to make the most out of it by treating our bodies and minds the best we can.
