Excellent features
As with all HD-ready LCD TV, the first feature to be concerned with is the tuner. The Panasonic TX26LXD8 has a DVB Digital Tuner already integrated into its system with a PLL synthesizer 100-position auto-search function.
The model is also CATV-compatible. Likewise, Panasonic opted a Freeview to be integrated in it. This is good for backward compatibility in searching standard-definition programs only. (Most countries in the world have not yet shifted to high-definition broadcast standards.)

The model TV's video has 3D Color Management (with sub-pixel scan and picture overcam) and a very impressive 24p mode of progressive scan. The 24p Playback is to make the visuals more movie-like. The HDMI are for high definition sources like cables, satellite boxes, and DVRs. The two SCART sockets are for other high-def sources like Blu-ray and PlayStation3 console.

The Panasonic TX26LXD8 LCD TV model also carries the regular features for a widescreen HD-ready unit: the standard 16:9 aspect ratio, the PiP, and the anti-blurring system for fast-moving action. It also has a Teletext feature and VESA Standard.
