To say that blogging has "caught on" is a bit of an understatement. The word "blogosphere" attests to its success and universal status.

Blogging, barely ten years old, has grown from where it was in its infancy, as little more than diary or journal, to where it is today. And today, it is the "darling of the Internet" - a medium of self expression that is now being exploited for its value as a traffic grabber.

From housewives, to backyard chefs, to realtors, to travelers galore and Internet Marketers by the thousands, they have all gotten into the act. Some are driven by passion, others by avarice and still others by combinations of both.

What ever your motivation for blogging there is no denying that it is here to stay. And it would certainly be foolhardy - whether an established marketer, an aspiring Internet Guru or a want-to-be entrepreneur - not to take full advantage of all that blogging offers the Internet Marketer.

What we are suggesting here, is that you can exploit the blogging enterprise to the greater worth of both - the blogger, who is merely seeking a means of personal expression, and the Internet Marketer, striving to build an internet fortune.

Blogging and Internet Marketing are not and need not be mutually exclusive; and in truth, they - "Need Each Other" to advance the greater good of both.

Internet Marketers were quick to realize the value that could be gained by utilizing blogs as a "framework" to drive traffic to their web sites. And so, motivated by the desire to build wealth via the Internet, they are driven to produce blogs which capture the attention of the blogging public and in the end they drive bloggers to their own web sites and achieve their goal.

Bloggers on the other hand, are now realizing that they can enjoy a healthy income, while at the same time, supporting their "habit"; by promoting affiliate products or even developing a web site to be used as a "feeder" blog.

Internet Marketer who respect, the internet as a medium and inherent value of the blogosphere, strive to protect the interests of both. We are not talking here about spam blogs (that blight on the Internet) or "splogs" as they are now known. Rather, we are talking about "real" Internet Marketers and Internet Bloggers working for the betterment of all concerned.

If you understand that, "all the world", is looking to be entertained. And if, realizing that, you first strive to "entertain" by writing good, quality content that fulfills your reader's immediate need to answer a concern or solve a problem. Then you will actually be "entertaining" your reader with the "problem solving solution" that was being sought in the first place. Therefore, your reader has gotten "two for the price of one" - entertained and problem solved.

The blogosphere needs to be respected for its own worth. By truly holding that respect in high regard and recognizing that your blog, must first and foremost offer some real contribution to the blogosphere. That being said, your blog must be supported by quality article content, and not wrongfully exploit as a "devil-in-disguise" advertisement. In truth, if you only seek to promote your product or web site without offering any quality content, that adds value to the blogosphere itself, you are wrongfully exploiting the blogosphere.

As a blogger, you may have to deal more negative comment than you would like, and that "my friend" is just a fact of life that will have to deal with. That is just the "nature of the beast", the blogging lot as a community, thrives on controversy and speaking their minds (that is, after all what bloggers are suppose to do).

Show your commenter a healthy respect for their opinion by encouraging and promote a difference of opinion (you may even find out that learn something new!). If your blog is true to the essence of the blogosphere you should, in fact, "care less" about a difference of opinion. After all, as an Internet Marketer, you're blogging to bring traffic (indirectly) to your web site and if in the end your blog does just that; you have accomplished your goal.
