My online mentor, who I came across purely by accident (thank god), was just like me in the beginning and so was his mentor. None of us were born successful marketers and we all need to go through certain marketing steps to reach the gold.

If they recruit you based on their reputation, it will not help your online business. I have done it in the past, joining the "dream teams" and all the rest. Did not help me in the slightest and that goes for their training too. If I knew then what I do now, I never would have bothered with these marketing techniques. And because they recruit on their reputations, they don't follow the marketing techniques that they are handing down to their own referrals.
So what team do you join? Well, that's the easy bit. The team that offers you the most for your online business.
