The one thing that you have to remember is that you are not alone! Many millions of people from all around the world also suffer from panic and anxiety attacks. Even though the feelings are very scary, others do understand how you feel.

It is alsop very important that you know it is possible to defeat panic attacks for good - many have done it before you! You can experience the same feeling of having overcome panic attacks, which is what I want to share with you here.

I struggled with panic for a long time as wel. After using every method under the sun, this is what worked well for me. It is a beginner technique, but still highly effective.

1) Relax.

You have to relax in order to overcome your panic attacks. The easiest way to do this is by taking five deep breaths.

Breathing alone does not stop your panic attack. What it does do, however, is give you the time and oxygen you need in order to keep fighting to overcome your panic attacks.

2) Break your focus on the anxiety.

The intense fear that a panic attack brings on is often overwhelming. You have to break that grip on your mind. The easiest way to do this is different for each person, but try screaming, singing your favorite song, turning up the TV really loud, etc..

3) Now focus on something else.

Once you can thing about something besides the panic, this is your cue to concentrate on something good in your life. Use your kids, spouse, promotion, etc. You can think about anything that is wonderful in your life, just focus on it.

4) Get through your attack.

Now that you have something positive, wait it out. Keep thinking about it until the panic attacks pass. The attack should last no more than eight to twelve minutes.

WARNING: These four steps will help you no matter how severe your attack may be. They do require some practice, but I know you can do it.

These are just the beginners steps on how you can overcome panic attacks. It will require more advanced techniques to truly be rid of them for good.
