You can overcome panic attacks in four easy steps by following this quick guide.

The one thing that you have to remember is that you are not alone! Millions of people around the world suffer from panic attacks every day. The feelings are still very scary, but you are not alone and it is important to know that.

It is alsop very important that you know it is possible to defeat panic attacks for good - many have done it before you! Imagine how great that will feel when you can do the same thing, too.

I suffered from panic attacks for a long time. After using every method under the sun, this is what worked well for me. It is a beginner technique, but still highly effective.

1) You need to relax.

You will never overcome panic while you are in a panic. Start by taking five deep breaths and getting some air into your system.

Breathing alone does not stop your panic attack. What it does do, however, is give you the time and oxygen you need in order to keep fighting to overcome your panic attacks.

2) Break concentration.

The fear that accompanies a panic or anxiety attack is often overwhelming. In order to defeat this, you have to break free of the intense grip it has on your mind. The easiest way to do this is different for each person, but try screaming, singing your favorite song, turning up the TV really loud, etc..

3) Focus elsewhere.

Once you can thing about something besides the panic, this is your cue to concentrate on something good in your life. Think about your children, your husband, best friend, favorite pet, etc. You can think about anything that is wonderful in your life, just focus on it.

4) Get through your attack.

Once you are thinking about the positive thought, keep thinking about it. Keep thinking about it until the panic attacks pass. The attack should last no more than eight to twelve minutes.

WARNING: These steps, when done, will help no matter how strongly your anxiety tries to keep you down. They do require some practice, but I know you can do it.

Unless you learn other advanced techniques and the psychology behind how to overcome panic attacks, you will have continue to have them.
