Hello Networkers,
I'm glad you've decided to get some info on Market America. Rip off or not?Is it worth your time? Well here's a little insight into the company itself from an outside source and a personal response from a rep that I was able to get some answers from on the inside.
James Ridinger catapulted this company to success back in 92, a previous Amway giant. This man is a superstar. This company's got nearly 200k representatives, and millions of customers with a bunch of corporate big wigs hanging around. They're distributing mainly house hold goods that you can find at your local Costcos or any major chain dept store. Very close to Amway really.
Right under this sentence is an actual script of the convo that I had with a rep of the company on my facebook account when I inquired a few months back about MA and their business in network marketing. Some words were changed for the protection of the woman giving me this great info. I start it by inquiring on some back info about the company and the structure.

Hey you're in Market America...can you hook me up with some info? I'm tryin to do some marketing, I need to know about the levels in Market America...where do you start? what's a high promotion to get in the company? What hurdles to reps have to jump over when starting in MA? not including lead development. EX, you got to get four reps in four different legs, with a minimum of *** in each to get to a certain level. A lot of reps have a hard time getting all three legs.

A lot of my attention is on mlsp, however, I am still marketing my primary and my products.
Check out these key factors (leave some MA people for me to help with mlsp ;o))
-No levels. We receive 100% of the points for what everyone on our team does...to infinite! Your upline can give you points too.
-You need two sponsored reps, for two legs, one each, to get paid.
-When you have your 2 people and have cut your first $300 check, you are a Coordinator
-The levels are a plenty after that. A nice spot is Super Coord. That gets you $7,500 - $10,000 a month. Then Nat'l Super Co is $10,000 - $18,000 & Director is $18 to $25,000. These are the most important levels to remember.
-Elizabeth Weber is top ranking at over 100k/mth.
-Stuggling reps, usually a result of no effort
Wanna join my biz. :o) Just kidding.
This should help ;)

I appreciate it, stay in touch.
END---------------
This sounds like a real good company but I haven't seen it to be different to address some of the problems other networkers have. There is also a lack of residual income considering that the company requires customers to re-purchase products. This is a problem is a lot of MLM companies. They do have some power players though, making great income within the company. There is no doubt that this is a solid company with a long lasting business model and certainly isn't a scam.
Is this the company for yourself? Before getting yourself into a company you should seriously consider what you're doing. Sales people will tell you it doesn't matter what you sell. It's the individual true? I can agree with this to a degree. Being a great leader or mentor is a huge component to success but depending on what your product is will determine what marketing plan you come up with. You can do internet marketing better with certain networking companies, some companies are flat out face to face companies. It really does depend on a variety of factors. My business is easy to promote online so that's the avenue that made the most sense when I jumped into my business.
