Lets step away from all the money and lobbying against marijuana for a moment to discuss a few concerns the people have with legalizing marijuana. Although oil, tobacco, and alcohol companies have a huge influence in marijuana being illegal, I feel I need to cover a few other concerns our society has with marijuana. So if you can, block out all the bull fed to you and listen up, this planet already has enough sheep running around.
Everyone Will Get Fat
I've heard this from several people, as to why marijuana should not be legalized.. but I think America has already reached that point. I see obesity headlines on the news all the time displaying the fact that fast food and poor diets might be the culprit behind weight gain, not the munchies.
Everyone Will Be a Lazy Jobless Stoner
Once again, if you look at America for example, we get lazier with every new phone commercial. You look around and see everyone talking or texting, wether they're driving or walking or even riding a bike, they have their phone in their hand. In general, people spend most of their free time behind a computer, tv or cell phone. Even when kids do go out they spend the night taking 150 pictures of random stuff, running on about useless non-sense on twitter or facebook, forgetting the world has real problems.. like hunger. As far as jobs, look at our economy, our current unemployment rate, could things really get worse? When you really look at the big picture, the entertainment business is riddled with stoners, advocates, all for marijuana that are very open about it. At some point in your life you have been entertained by a stoner that makes more money than you. So using this as a anti-marijuana campaign is 1st grade level thinking.
Controversial to these two anti-marijuana statements, marijuana and hemp actually have a very opposite effects. Extracts from marijuana have some very promising effects when used in health diets, while the hemp seed is one of the healthiest things for your body! Not only that but marijuana and hemp would create a stable job market, for millions of jobs. Something we could really use right now... Not only creating jobs but eliminating the use of ethanol, why use food for fuel when people are starving? Especially when there is a more efficient, easier to grow, renewable solution like hemp oil. I think it's about time to pull our heads out of the sand, for politicians, I think it's time you pull your heads out of your ass and do something productive that will benefit the people and this planet. You've damaged it enough for a million lifetimes. Message to Politicians: I don't care if your republican, democrat, liberal, or you like to drink a lot of tea, stop hiding behind USELESS LABELS and Stop taking campaign endorsements (aka bribes) that hold us in the past. Grow some balls and a backbone and fight for whats right, unlike Scott Walker taking money to campaign if he promised to shut down several wind energy programs. Or how about congress asking for a raise while local schools are being shut down. Enough is enough, stand up and fight for the future, before its gone.
