Is there really such a thing as the magic of mlm? There certainly is when you start to understand the principles and work within the system.

A thing that separates WAHM (work at home mom’s) from other internet marketers is the fact that they already have a full time job and usually are unable to set fixed times each day to be at their computer. Therefore when looking for a home business they need to find something that enables them to move from one task to another at times of their choosing. This is why so many moms choose MLM (Multi Level Marketing) and excel at it.

So why are they so good at it? The answer is simple: They are better networkers than most men. In general networking comes naturally to women watch two women taking their kids for a walk in the park - I guarantee that they’ll soon start talking, comparing notes, gleaning advice and in general attempting to be helpful to each other. At the same time the kid’s take a lead from Mom and are soon playing and forming their network of friends. This is the way our children are educated about their role in society.

Is it any wonder that the average WAHM is seeking to supplement family income in a manner that fit’s her difficult schedule? She certainly can’t work while the children demand attention and problems also occur when a tired husband returns after a day at work. This is why so many turn to network marketing (another term for multi level marketing) and are able to pick it up and drop it down as other events demand their attention. The other big thing is that the business is as close to being automated as anything on this planet.

Here are some MLM tips to help you understand how the system works:

Never believe that a multi level business is one big matrix with one person, or corporation, at the top who signs up two people who in turn sign up two people each until thousands are involved. In truth each business is a series of matrixes that grow at different speeds. Usually there is more money made at level 8 in a “power” matrix that at level 3 in a “steady” matrix and this is a fact that will never change. To succeed you must be part of a power matrix; this is why you hear people complaining that they’ve tried this type of business and it doesn’t work. - This is a crazy statement when you look at some of these businesses that have been running for years. - What the detractors should say is: “I tried it and it never worked for me.” The emphasis being on the “me”.

All MLM businesses attempt to bring in high flyers that have a proven record and a massive mailing list into the business before it launches. These high flyers have a select group of joint venture partners who also own massive mailing lists whom they enrol to fill levels 2 and 3 of their matrix. When launch time comes hundred’s of thousands of emails hit inboxes enrolling people to join their matrix. This is the start of a power matrix.

Many people will join this power matrix because they have followed the person they received the invitation from before and have made money by doing so. The money is made because the people on the top three levels attract thousands of others to join. Imagine an 8 level matrix with one person at level 1 and 128 at level 8. This equates to a total of 255 in that matrix.

Now imagine that each of these high flyers bring in just 1,000 participants from their mailing lists - That is 7,000 from levels one thru three. They can only have 255 in their matrix so each one passes 745 people in overflow to the people in the matrix below them. 7 x 745 is 5,215. Now add these overflow clients to people that are capable of signing up between 20 and 100 participants and you have a power matrix operating.

Assuming there are half a dozen power matrixes in a top MLM network and another 20 to 30 steady matrixes operating it is simple to understand why some people are saying: “This didn’t work for me.”

The secret is to be part of a power matrix and slowly work your way up the matrix as you build your list of satisfied contacts. Then you will find that you are being invited to join pre-launch ensuring a good position in a matrix that you know is headed by high flyers.

Understanding the system is the key to success at everything you do.
