I was reading through an individuals quest to start a legitimate work from home opportunity and how he had been a victim of an online business scam before. With the current economic turbulent, many have turned their heads towards the internet for refuge.
Well, it's a wise choice. Starting a work from home job needs a considerably low capital investment. You even save on transportation expenses. You can just stay and work from home if you want to. There is a wide variety of choices you can pick, from data entry from home, typing from home to rebate processing.
The question in hand now is, how can you tell if a legitimate work from home opportunity is genuine? You do not want to put your effort in a program only to find it's a scam. All your hard work would have gone down the drain. Here are a few ways you can use to answer the above question. I call them my scam detectives.
For one, it is always a good idea to check with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) if they are listed with them. You can also check with BBB if there are scam reports against them. If there are, you would not want to have anything to do with them.
The other method is to personally contacting them. Get an address of a branch nearest to you if available and pay them a visit. Determine if they really exist. If they do, go talk to them, ask for proof of their business registration and most importantly, ask yourself is you feel good about it. Your gut feelings never lie.
This is another one of my favorites. Posting questions in online business forums. I would say this is one of the easiest, if not the easiest way to identify a legitimate work from home job scam. Never under estimate forums. They are very powerful. I call this my "top dog scam sniffer".
Above are the same check list I use to filter out genuine and legitimate work from home opportunities. Use them and you will not go wrong.
