Issues with my Electronic Cigarette
Well there really are not too many issues with the electronic cigarette, not very serious ones anyway.
I started using my e cigarette about two months ago and found it to be very helpful in stopping my nasty tobacco cigarette habit. I did stop smoking tobacco cigarettes after about five days with my new digital cigarette. I found it a bit tricky at first but after the two days I was well on my way to healthier smoking.
One of the issues I had at first was people staring at me. I guess smoking in the No Smoking area of the restaurant is bound to cause some issues with the other smoking patrons. Walking through a shopping mall and smoking does also get a few looks. Some people may find this attention unwanted and even become uncomfortable. I got used to it after a week or so but some people may take a little longer. I do however remember a few good sides to all this attention. It is an easy way to talk to girls at the bar or in the shopping mall, after all, they come and ask you what the electronic cigarette is all about.
One more issue is the charging of the device. As with any new electronic device that requires charging is that one forgets to charge the device and you may run out of battery while you are out and about. There are usually two batteries included in the starter pack so you should be ok. However most people’s mobile phones run out of batteries because you forget about charging them. This happens from time to time with the electronic cigarettes so there will be a time that you no longer have your new “lung buddy” with you. These are tough times as you cant buy a pack of cigarettes any longer. These times I found very difficult especially because they usually occur when I am out drinking or in a restaurant having a glass of vino and find smoking almost a necessity.
I guess the lesson here is always recharge your batteries and perhaps take your charger with you and leave it in the car, that way you will not be without your electronic cigarette.
Other than those two factors there are no real issues with the Electronic Cigarette which is now available in South Africa.
