Picking out the best TV is simple, but what about all the new stuff that they are coming out with? There are so many advances to technology each year, really every day that it is difficult to keep up with. Whether it is something with much higher definition or something with built in this or built in that, there's no telling what they will come up with next.
The hottest craze of course is 3D television. If they could implant 3D into your brain so that everything you watched was viewed in three dimensions, they would likely do that. But the greater question remains, is 3D worth the money and is it really that great? Well, if you like three dimensions on your television, then rest assured, these TVs look great.
They work well and anything that is made to be seen in 3D looks excellent. What isn't so great is the enormous price tag and the glasses that you have to wear. They are incredibly costly, just when the prices of the flat screen, HD televisions are coming down far enough so that most people can afford them; the new 3D televisions are incredibly expensive. It always works that way though, when the masses can afford the latest technology, the new stuff is released so that the higher ups on the social scale will have something a little better.
That’s why you have to try and keep up with the Joneses. Although for people that need to have the latest tech, these 3D televisions are right up your ally. They are fantastic if you like to view anything in 3D. These don’t only play movies in 3D, but actual television shows and if you have a next generation video game console, they even play games in 3D. The real drawback is that you do have to wear these big goggles that can become uncomfortable.
When you have to wear regular 3D glasses for a whole movie, you can imagine how uncomfortable it can be if you happen to be watching television for hours on end or a football game wearing them. They can wear on you and if you are sensitive to wearing things such as glasses or goggles, you can get a headache quite quickly. Also, these glasses aren't cheap. They are about $100 per pair and you generally only get two with the television. That is another investment of at least two more pair for an average family.
