Internet marketing winners are those amongst us that are able to communicate most effectively to their target market.

We are all capable because from the day we are born we are learning to communicate (sell) and it is this ability to learn to

communicate effectively that ultimately steers us to success to failure in life, not just internet marketing.

The issue with internet marketers today is in their approach to selling - promoting - marketing to their potential customers and how this ability is limited to the

effectiveness of their communication.


How is it that internet marketers can effectively talk to their little person inside and sell themselves on the idea that running an online business is worth the time and effort, but cannot communicate effectively to others to actually make money from that venture?

Who is the little person inside and why can we effectively communicate with him or her but not externally to achieve success?


This self talk to the little person inside is the most effective and most powerful

communication we ever experience because we get to practice it every second of everyday and we know exactly what our target market (ourselves) desires most.

And therein lies the key to successful communication. Practice.


-= The Only Way To Get It Right Is To Get It Wrong First =-

If you ever visit the warrior forum there are 10,000’s of posts from internet

marketers asking for advice, sharing their success and failure stories and generally sharing in the community of internet marketers.

One of the common themes I have noted is that a great many people ask advice

regarding how long it takes to make money with internet marketing, warrior’s

opinions of the product they are selling, advice on how to make more money faster and so on.

If you then review their sales pages they are written in such a way and selling a story that is in complete contradiction to their posted questions. Their sales copy for their ‘great product’ reads like they are already successful internet marketers and have made tons of money form selling their product!


Clearly there is an in-balance with what they believe is possible and what they are communicating and hence they are not achieving the success they desire. I suggest we all consider setting our standards higher, stop selling and just communicate – don’t sell products that you don’t use or truly believe work just because they have a bigger pay day.

Otherwise your self talk and your external message will not match and whilst you

may be able to achieve some short term success, this is no way to create an online internet marketing business empire…just a ‘dodgy* brothers’ garage sale.

* British /Australian Slang: Of questionable legality, like a scam, or questionable

moral or structural integrity.


-= There Is A Difference Between Failing And Being A Failure =-

If you don’t fail you cant learn how to succeed. Your little person inside already

knows this and can rectify the solution easily because they know how to communicate to you most effectively, tweaking the task each time to make sure you learn to succeed. For internet marketers the best thing to do is ask customers what you have done wrong.

When you fail don’t blame some external event, or server crash, or other guru’ s

product launch on the same day, or a bad list of single opt-ins, or how the product you have just bought to help you succeed does not work.

Take responsibility for your failure because there is no-one else to blame for your

failure or to congratulate for your success except for yourself… and ask those people that don’t buy…why…and make a change!

Failing is necessary for success, being a failure is the inability to recognize the fault is yours and to place blame on others people, events or circumstances.


-= Don’t Ask For Permission To Be Successful =-

This is where that balance with your little person inside and your external message meet to create success.

Your little person inside knows if you are using the products you are selling and

believe in the message you are promoting and will help you sell it by making you an effective communicator.

Nothing sells better than effective communication because when you believe the message you are communicating to your very core this becomes evident in your communication. Rather than the receivers of the communication dreading the upcoming sales pitch, they instead genuinely want to know what you do and how you do it.

So go ahead and tell them what it is, tell them what to do to get it and be sure to tell them very clearly where they can buy it. Period.
