Printing needs are increasing day by day and over the years it has been flourished. With a history of just 20 years the inkjet cartridges have already come a long way and have still a great future ahead. The printers were invented in and around 1976. But it was Hewlett Packard who was actually responsible for making inkjet printers a household name. The inkjet printers have now become the backbone of companies for their daily needs. Companies such as Canon, Epson, Dell and Lexmark sell a variety of printers according to customer’s needs of which the best option is inkjet printers. Different types of customers have different needs which can’t be fulfilled by same type of printers for all. But for daily household usage or small company’s needs, inkjet printers are the most preferable option.
Types and working of inkjet printers:
The working of inkjet cartridges is quiet easy. In it an inbuilt ink reservoir releases a flow of ink through a series of small nozzles known as print head, used to make very small dots of ink. The colours in the
inkjet cartridges are pooled over to form colour images. Mostly six coloured cartridges are used but twelve coloured cartridges are also available in the market. Most colour cartridges use the cyan, magenta, yellow and key, or black (CMYK) colour model. These four colours are stored in break up reservoirs in single ink cartridges but at times are also sold as separate inkjet cartridges. They are mixed in exact amount to form hundreds of possible colours, making lush and consistently toned colour images. There are two types of inks used in the inkjet printers namely dye based inks and pigmented inks. The dye based inks are not water proof but are more useful in straightforward monochrome type of printing. The pigmented inks are waterproof and are better option for colour printing. In market three different types of inkjet cartridges are available namely
• Original equipment manufacturer (OEM) cartridges are original cartridges available by respective companies.
• Compatible ink cartridges are produced by local companies but can go with any brand of printers.
• Remanufactured inks cartridges are those where you can yourself refill ink and use.
Precautions and advantages of inkjet cartridges:
It is advisable to purchase good quality and branded inkjet printers which are ISO certified. Using local cartridges may create problems in the printer nozzle. The ink gets dried when not in use and it ends up chocking the nozzle. So good quality inkjet cartridges are must to use. Inkjet cartridges are famous for their reliability, colour accuracy and speed. They maintain print quality regardless of how many times you use the printer. You will get no blurred prints and faded images.
