I remember on one occasion, my friend jack got involved in network marketing. He got extremely excited and fire up! He started off learning everything he can for the business, details by details, build himself a library of his business, attended all trainings.

Eventually six months later, I happen to bump into him in a coffee house. Having the same profession, I asked him how is his network marketing business going?

Jack replied “Tristan, I don’t know how you do it but I can’t seem to get anyone into the business … I am able to answer all questions and I attended all training, why can’t I do it like you do?”

As our conversation continue, I become sure of what exactly happen to him. It is clear he did not make enough phone calls, he did not meet enough people to show the opportunity to, most importantly he did not follow up on his people after the appointments.

We understand that network marketing brings you residual and passive income. We have to work our ass off to get the foundation of this business up. On the process we definitely require massive actions. It is always good to learn some facts and details of the business but you must at the same time build the business and learn from experience. Only after a few set off in the process, you will start to be better in this business. On top of this you must be determine and consistent.

True enough, I shared my views and opinion with Jack. I told him that learning the details are good but he must have enough people to share this business with too. Every rejection is a learning process and it must not be the main reason for you to go back reading the training materials and theory and think that by confirming what you learn is correct will bring you success… I mean… come on! The more you expose yourself in presenting this business, the better you become!

Make as many appointments as possible! The more people you meet, the better success rate you have! After the appointments, is the follow up step. The key is to get leaders in and therefore this step is important, skipping this step is not recommended. Reason is that many people do not care how much you know in this business but instead they are more concern on how much you care for them and how sincere you are in working with them.

After sharing this with Jack, his business started to boom. Today he is earning a comfortable residual income with his network marketing business.
