Okay here’s the situation: It’s Tuesday night and you need to be free of acne by at least Friday because on Saturday… there’s going to be a party where you’ll going to be forced to meet people and give off your best impressions. So it’s best not to have any acne on your face by then. However the bad news is you woke up today and a big zit was staring back at you in the mirror. You goal: to get rid of your zit and never have these 4th quarter pressure situations happen again.
Like you, I remember I would go through these situations a lot too. It would really suck when I’d have to go to school with this gigantic zit that drew attention to me like Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. If you’re looking for ways to prevent acne, in this article I’m going to show you how you can do that and never have to deal with going through distracting issues like this.
Step 1 – Don’t Pop Your Pimples
Try putting on toothpaste over a pimple and the redness of it should reduce by the next day. Even if you have the urge to do this, try your best to not pop. Not only will popping leave you with a permanent tiny scar, but after popping it, acne will start ooze in your skin which can create more pimples later on. If you absolutely can’t help it as in the party is happening in a couple of hours, pop it BUT make sure you clean it afterwords with something like hydrogen peroxide. This will solve the short term affect but in the long run you’ll have a tiny scar.
Step 2 – Change Your Pillow Case Weekly
I used to think that this wasn’t really a big deal. But changing your pillow case is really effective in preventing acne. I mean, yes it’s not a cleanser or a lotion that you put on your face. It’s only a habit… but think about this. Every time you roll around in your bed or put the side of your face on that pillow, you’ll putting oil onto the case overnight. And if you’re reusing that same pillow case night after night after night, there’s a good chance that bacteria will clog up your pores and a zit will form by the time the sun rises. So just try to change your pillow case every now and then to ensure yourself of preventing acne.
Step 3 – Drink lots of water
I believe that interior cleansing is just as important as exterior cleansing. You should want your body to be completely devoid of bad toxins that can make your body unhealthy or not run at its maximum efficiency. When I was in high school, I rarely drank water and only relied on acne cleansers to clean my skin. I still had acne... Nowadays, I drink at least 3 glasses of water a day and have seen a very big improvement! So make sure you drink lots of water and you’ll be on your way to having healthier looking skin!
These methods of not popping your pimples, changing your pillow case to a fresh one, and drinking lots of water, are all fairly easy to do. Now combine that with all the knowledge you need to prevent your skin from acne and ways to get rid of acne, and you’ll have yourself very clear skin for the rest of your life!
