You can generate hundreds of leads in the internet but it is useless if you cannot connect with them on the phone, build relationships and sign them up with your company. To become a great closer you have to be focused on results and at the same time working from your own personality. In this article I'm going to talk about the kind of mindset you have to have in order to become really good at prospecting.

The business is all about YOU

You have to get rid of the mentality that you are a small cog in the big system called your network marketing company. What you really should feel is as you were the CEO of the company and made all the decisions in it. Do you know that only 20% of the decision of someone to join you in your primary business is going to be based on the actual company? It's not your main focus, although your company does matters. The 80% of the decision is going to be based on YOU and what you have to offer. What you need to realize is that people join people and not business opportunities. So what you are truly marketing is the chance to work with you. You have to give them a reason why they should follow you. You have to become a trustworthy, go to person in your niche and you do it by educating your prospects without having a certain agenda in your mind. You do not want to sign up people who are not a good fit to you and your business. You should be able to quickly decide if it there is a match for you and them by asking the right questions.

Let people proof why they are worth your time

Make it clear for yourself that you have so many people to talk to that you are taking only the best to your team. If you think like that you will appreciate your time and definitely not give it away to people who are only curious. Use your time wisely and never spend your time with people who are not going to buy. You should be able to tell within your first minute if that person is serious or only curious. You must learn how to listen from your heart and feel what people really mean. If you realize that this person is a tire kicker or have a job mentality you should be able to let them go very quickly.

Change your attitude toward sales

If you think that sales is something not etical or you don't want to sell and you have this mindset, I guarantee your failure in network marketing industry. Selling is probably new to you because you probably had a job most of your life and you think that selling is hard to learn. The more you play the game the better you become at this. Sales are not about being a sneaky salesperson that has only one agenda in the mind, to sell. Selling is all about asking a series of questions, collecting a series of yeses and a decision. If you want to become a great closer, you have to become a master asker. You should be able to ask the right questions, listen very carefully to the answers given and quickly deciding if you want to keep the conversation going or you want to let the person go.

If you master the skills of closing you will be able to make a PROFIT. And you cannot operate very long in your business without making money.
