Let's all say it together: Crunches are dull and boring! We all hate crunches, but flatter abs would certainly be nice. We want the gain but without the pain. This year, you can have both;the six pack flat abs and the easy moves.

The best part is that it will happen really fast if you stick with the program, remember to get what you want, find someone who has it and copy them. The truth is, there are so many ultra-effective tips and moves for a leaner stomach that you never have to do another crunch again, and still chisel your middle. Get a flat stomach now. It is easy. Three super tips below.

Tip 1 - Go on an abs spree

Combining your ab exercises together can deliver better results than switching back and forth between various body parts, according to Nicole Stewart, a pilates instructor in Los Angeles. Working your abs to the "burning" point delivers a flat stomach. Really visualise that flat stomach and focus your attention on your mid section.

Tip 2 - A little fat is a good thing

A little bit of good fat in your diet can actually help your midsection get slim down. Studies suggest that foods rich in mono unsaturated fats—including olive oil, nuts, seeds and avocado and oil fishcan help prevent the accumulation of unwelcome belly fat. Remember that foods with Omega 3, 6 and 9 oils also help improve brain function.

Tip 3 - Don't be lonely

Toning up and slimming down doesn't need to be a lonely activity. Get a friend or bribe one of your children to help you with this exercise: Lie on the floor with your legs straight up in the air. Ask a friend to get you to bring your legs up and down randomly (saying, for example, "Right leg down, left leg up" and "Both legs up") every few seconds. Use your ab muscles to follow their directions, keeping your lower back pressed well into the floor for support. Do this for three or four 20- to 60-second sets, resting 1 minute between each set, roll onto your side if you need to. Then switch and you be the leader. These random commands trigger a rapid contraction of your stomach muscles, tiring them more easily and creating sculpted areas of your abs, so "you see better results in less time," says Pete McCall, an exercise physiologist in San Diego for the American Council on Exercise. Hey, what are friends for and remember if you have children, they are the ones that got you into this so they can help you get a flat stomach.
