Numerous articles (including a recent local newspaper article) are proposing that business concerns create and upload online videos to YouTube, in order to market their services: product demonstrations, customer testimonials, service advice, etc.
Waste of Time!!
Who’s going to see it?
If you submit your video only to You Tube , you are now required to direct people to You Tube to see the video. The Internet should be directing clients to YOU, not the other way around.
It’s the same with your internet site. Do people see your website, and then call you? Or do you need to advertise your website, so that people can find it? You are now advertising an advertisement. Why?
That’s the trouble with the Internet. How do people find you? Can a stranger, doing a search on Google find your business? The ordinary Internet user does 35+ searches daily. But 90% of those users don’t look past Page 2. The answer is obvious:
Your business MUST be listed on Page 1 or 2 to be found on Google!
Let’s get back to creating a video. There are now hundreds of video websites similar to You Tube. When you submit a properly optimized video to MULTIPLE video web sites, the search engines, such as Google take notice. Your video can end up on Google Page 1...within 48 hours. Now, when somebody does a Google search for your type of product/service, they will likely find YOU!
How to get your business listed on Google Page 1 for your Local Search. (Here’s some Free advice!)
Get Listed for FREE:
In many categories, a Google Map appears. These listing are free. It only shows the first ten listings, so many listings are already filled, and you wouldn’t be shown on Page 1. But if there are fewer than 10 listings, add yours instantly. EXAMPLE: For carpet cleaners:the phrase 'akron pet stains' shows only two listings...both in Cleveland...if I were a carpet cleaner in the Akron area,I would quickly add my business to that map. You would be the only Akron carpet cleaner listed. Talk about free advertising!
How to get listed on Google’s Page 1...without a website.
To get the maximum exposure for your video, follow these steps:
You don’t need a camera. Create a short slideshow using Windows Movie Maker, which is included free with Windows. Import Digital photos, add some text, background music, and you have the equivalent of any TV commercial.
2. The Riches are in the Niches. Don’t try to promote your total business organization. Concentrate on a portion of what you offer. For example, instead of ‘Attorney’, concentrate on your expertise in, say, ‘Elder Law’. By doing that, you lower the keyword competition.
3. Make sure you put your contact info on each photo.. that reenforces your brand name in the customer’s mind.
Once you save the video, now you must submit it to multiple video sites. For that, you need to use a video submission software, such as Video Wildfire. Download a FREE trial of Video Wildfire from my website: www.akroncontentmarketing.com. Click ‘Internet Marketing’.
