Unknown to many people, there is more to astrology than just horoscopes and natal charts. Perhaps even more useful and practical is the art of horary astrology. Horary gives people the chance to find answers to questions that cannot be answered through ordinary means. And you do not have to be psychic to do it. A horary astrologer does the work for you. All you have to do is ask the question-- and pay up.
Types of Horary Questions :
You can ask all kinds of questions with horary. Some examples of horary questions are:
•Where is my purse?
•Will I get married this year?
•Will my father-in-law recover from his illness?
•Am I pregnant?
•Will my wife have a safe delivery?
•Will I get the job?
•Will the delivery arrive on time?
•Is the car in good condition?
•Will we be able to buy the house at a good price?
•Is my friend in danger?
•Where is my dog?
A horary astrology looks like any other astrology but it is read differently. Unlike a general natal chart reading that attempts to give a broad view of a person's life and character, a horary study has a much narrower scope. It is concerned only with answering the astrology related question, and shedding light on pertinent details.
Each horary question has a querent and a quesited. The querent is the person who makes the inquiry, whereas the quesited is the subject of that inquiry. The conditions of the querent and quesited are shown by the strength or weakness of their planetary significators in the chart. The circumstances surrounding the inquiry are described by the chart, especially by the moon and other factors that are important to the question.
Curiously, this flat-footedness seems to most be a part of early to middle adulthood. One is too caught in trying to look good, and so one over-asserts oneself and one's ego into everything. It is only as one gets older that one truly begins to see the commonalities within the fierce assertion of individuality – and then one's interpretation becomes more fluid.
Most horary questions are answered with a "Yes" or "No." But not all queries are of that kind. For example, if the question is about a missing person, animal or object, the answer must give clues as to the whereabouts of the quesited. If the inquiry is about the nature of an illness, the astrologer must be able to provide insight into that using the rules of medical astrology.
A horary astrologer seeks the answer to the question by weighing the dignities of the planets in the chart, the relationship between the significators of the querent and quesited, the applying aspects to the Moon and other factors.
