Many may feel that I am looking into this subject too deeply however I tend to disagree with that opinion. I feel that many of today’s problems are a direct result of the interpretation of God as given to the masses, to include wars, entire countries in famine and financial ruin, and outright racism! As in PART 2 of this article, I will focus more on quotes from the Bible that will further demonstrate that God is indeed misinterpreted.

I would like to point out a passage that gets very little attention as I feel it should. Let’s take a look at Genesis 3:1-13. This passage begins with the serpent somehow getting into the Garden of Eden. Eventually, this “TALKING” snake/serpent, go figure, ends up having a conversation with Eve. I would like to see the person who has a conversation with a snake and not take off running, but that is another story. LOL!! Now, Eve has a conversation with a talking snake who Christians claim to be the Devil, who convinces Eve that it was ok to go against the word of God, correct?

Now here is where it gets interesting. After the whole fiasco occurs and all the damage is done, God comes on the scene asking Adam and Eve what happened, correct? What is so interesting about this you may ask? Let’s put this whole thing in perspective. We are talking about the Great Christian God who supposedly knows everything even before it happens, correct? So why didn’t God stop the “Devil” from entering the Garden of Eden in the first place? Why did God have to ask Adam and Eve what happened, wouldn’t he already have known what happened?

Verse 14-17 of Genesis Chapter 3 picks up with God judging/condemning Adam and Eve for the “transgressions” that he supposedly should have known was going to happen in the first place if he is God according to the Christians. According to the Christian interpretation of God, all sin on Earth stem from this single act. If this interpretation is correct, that means that God is responsible for all sin on Earth, simply because he had the chance to stop what he already knew was going to happen and didn’t. To top it all off, God punished Adam and Eve for what he already knew was going to happen as well. I know many people will say that God asked them who told them they were naked to see if they would tell the truth. However, this still makes no sense according to the Christian interpretation of God, because God should have even known if they would tell the truth or not!! DO YOU SEE THAT GOD IS MISINTERPRETED????!!!!

Let’s look at another famous Biblical story. Let’s turn our pages to Genesis Chapter 11:1-9. Once again, this is the God who knows everything that happens across all the galaxies and planets etc, etc. This story relays the Babylonians attempting to build a tower to reach the heavens. Let’s break this down so I can show the reader what I see when I read this verse. In verse 5 that the LORD CAME DOWN TO SEE….. In verse 6, God is talking to somebody about what he is observing the people doing. In verse 7, God says, “Let us go down there and confound their language, that they may not understand one another’s speech.”

What conclusions can we draw from this passage? 1) God was obviously in heaven(haven/safe haven, just simply put an “e” in front of the “a”) floating around doing his thing and somebody came and told him what the humans were doing. 2) God must have had some kind of fear that the humans could do what they imagined and had to ‘confound’ their language as he so eloquently put it. 3) Must not be omnipotent, because he had to go to see what was happening with his own eyes and could not see it from ‘heaven’ and had to come down where they were to confound their language. Yes, GOD IS GREATLY MISINTERPRETED!!

Exodus 7:9-12 is another famous biblical story that should be examined more thoroughly also. This is the rhetorical story of Moses’ brother Aaron casting his staff to the ground and it turned into a snake. Every Christian when asked, will immediately tell you that it was God who either turned the staff into a snake or worked through Aaron to do it and that the Egyptians are nothing but a bunch of pagan idol worshippers. So my question to all Christians is if God was responsible for turning Aaron’s staff to a snake, who was responsible for turning the pharaoh’s wise men’s staffs into snakes? The next comment will be that God did theirs too. This is absurd. This is obviously something the pharaoh knew his men could do, otherwise he would have had no reason to call them over. HEY CHRISTIANS, IF JESUS WAS RAISED IN EGYTP UNTIL HE WAS 13 YEARS OLD AND HE TURNED WATER TO WINE, WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THAT AND TURNING A STAFF INTO A SERPENT? One of the kind of things that make you stop and think hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!!

Let’s look at Exodus 20:3, where God says “Thou shalt have no other Gods before me.” I wanted to point out that if God is the only God, why would he have to say thou shalt have no other gods before me. That is like me being the only man in the world and going in front of all the women and saying thou shalt have no other men before me, quite ridiculous.

Exodus 32:14 shows another example of God being less than the supreme creator. Here again, as in Genesis 6:6 God is repenting. Not only is God repenting, he is repenting of EVIL that he thought to do to his own people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Let’s examine Exodus 34:14. In this verse, it says that God is a jealous god and to go even further says God’s very name is Jealous!!!!!!!!! You mean to tell me this is the one and only creator of everything able to count the grains of sand on a desert and God is jealous and not only that his name is Jealous (Exodus 20:5, Deuteronomy 4:24)? You mean God cannot even master a mere human emotion? So I guess we were created in God’s image and after his likeness in more ways than one, hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!!!!!!

In closing, I would like to point out three verses that are never talked about, the first is Exodus 7:1. In this quote the lord tells Moses that he has made him a god and has made Aaron Moses’ prophet. The next is Psalms 82:6. In this quote it is made clear that everyone is a child of the Most High and all are GODS. The last is St. John 10:34. In this quote Jesus tells the people that it is written in their law that they are all GODS.

I hope by now the readers will be able to see that God is misinterpreted undoubtedly. It is imperative that each person who puts their soul in the words of the religious leaders instead of the words of the scriptures to do their research and get to the truth. There are many, many more verses that can illustrate that God is misinterpreted, however I would have to make about 20 parts to this article. If you would like to send your thoughts forward them to willgregg8@yahoo.com.

These realizations of the misinterpretation of God are the beginning steps to spiritual and mental freedom that is being revealed to us through the teachings of H.E. Rev. Dr. Malachi K. York, who for more than 40 years has written over 400 books of religious falsehoods that have caused wars, hatred, and bloodshed for centuries.
