Lynton and Lynmouth are two of the most beautiful twin cities located in Devon. Situated on the coast of Exmoor National Park, these two villages are rich in history and beauty as well as fun and excitement.

Riding the Lynton and Lynmouth railway is a requisite for any visitor to the area. This historic railway climbs over 800 feet up the side of a cliff to take passengers between Lynmouth and Lynton. It is a Victorian era railway that is powered by water, a unique concept that has lasted over 100 years. When traveling to Lynton Hotel, you must access the railway, at least once, for the sheer experience.

The area is rich in beautiful gardens to tour, near two different zoological parks and the Exmoor Falconry Park. Depending on the time of year you visit, the towns are host to several different fairs and events. Nearly every week in the year an event is scheduled for the twin towns.

The Lyn and Exmoor museum is an excellent stop when visiting the area. Housed in the oldest standing residential structure in that area, the museum provides a look at the long and colourful heritage of the area. The museum even claims to have its own resident ghost.
