To build an opt-in list from scratch is not as easy as one would think. It is very hard and takes a lot of time. It definitely requires you to write articles and have them submitted to article directories. All opt-in resources and tools should be created or bought. As an email marketer, you are going to spend several hours planning and deliberating on ways to increase your opt-in list. That really sounds difficult.

When you are confronted with the job of email list building, several marketers are mislead by those who give them the assurance that all those hard work are just not needed. They are advised to buy an opt-in list and save themselves most of that tedious work and trouble. Buying a list can be very tempting but then one should be careful not to fall into that trap.

Opt-in lists that are being sold today has names and email addresses of those purported to be the the best would-be customers but one thing we forgot to ask is what type of names and addresses are in the list? A good number of them are simply names and email addresses of folks who mistakenly opted in. They are for sure the names on the opt-in lists. On the other hand, double opt-in lists are the names of those who opted in on reason and then verified by a return email that they truly opt in.

The truth is that nobody loves receiving hundreds of marketing emails everyday. A lot of the names on these double opt-in lists are persons who belong to CAN SPAM watch-dog groups. As a matter of fact, nobody can give you authorization to send email to an address if not the person whom the address belongs to and then they must particularly give that go-ahead to you.

Apart from this, all other thing is definitely SPAM. To succeed with your list building, you definitely have to build your list yourself and not to buy.
