There is no denying that Healthy eating is a major component if you want to loose weight. That doesn’t mean you have to give up all of your favorite things though, you can still go to parties and barbeques, and yes, you can have a piece of birthday cake and still loose weight. You just need to enjoy in moderation.

The old saying that “we are what we eat” unfortunately is not an old wives tale. Yes it’s true. And as a kicker, as we get older, and after having children our metabolism slows down making the weight pile on even faster. If I could have bottled the energy I had when I was younger and sell it I would be a rich individual by now.

You can start a weight loss diet, after talking to your physician of course. And it does not have to be difficult or take an unreasonable amount of time. If it took two hours a day to prepare a healthy dinner not many people would be doing it. This is not the only way to loose weight either.

There are so many options today to help you loose weight. There are recipes, and websites, and support groups all available online; 24 hours a day, seven days a week, you can fit it into any schedule.

You don’t have to live on broccoli and lean turkey; you can plan healthy meals that you and your family will enjoy. You can even sneak in healthy food and they wont be any the wiser. If I can sneak vegetables into my toddlers’ food without them realizing it, remember they have veggie-radar, I am sure you can too.

By changing your eating habits, you are starting a lifestyle change that can benefit you for years to come. Not only will you be healthier your family and loved ones can be too. Experiment with your menu, who knows you might uncover a new healthy family favorite.
