Witness the case of a small American town where dairy farming is a way of life. When one particular farmer in the Rosendale, Wisconsin, area first got started, the herd was a reasonable size. It then grew to a herd of 4,000 cows. Yes, 4,000 cows, and the town was in an uproar about it. They eventually had to live with it until the issue came up once again in the form of a request to increase the same dairy herd to 8,000 cows.
The very thought of 8,000 cows created such a flap that once again concerns were raised about the manure and wastewater this dairy farm would produce. That kind of volume would obviously have an impact not only on the environment but on the groundwater in the area. Once the groundwater is affected, the drinking water becomes contaminated and not fit for humans to consume. Not many people are aware that they can have the safest and freshest water possible by using water distillers and also installing water distillation systems in their homes.
Despite the fact that farm managers insist they have a comprehensive working plan in place to deal with the manure properly and to scrupulously avoid affecting the local drinking water, this isn’t making many local residents very happy. A rather dubious distinction to say the least when it comes to dealing with toxic waste and the possibility of drinking water contamination. However, if the residents were aware of how safe and fresh distilled water is, they would be checking out the benefits of water distillation systems.
Even though the farm may offer the community more jobs, people are more concerned about what they will be drinking in the future rather than having employment or being able to buy fertilizer.
