Here we are nine months into the Obama administration and the excuses are plentiful for his inability to bring about the change his minions bought into, and worse, the ineptitude that comes with his lack of experience at anything greater than a “community organizer” is becoming ever more apparent. Even after trillions of dollars in stimulus money, bailouts for greedy, ill-run corporations, banks and insurance companies, plus his dismal failure to unite people together, American’s are still fearful of an economy that seems to be at a standstill… and a health care reform bill that will only further our path down the slippery slope of socialism.
The often heard excuse for his bleak performance as president is that “it’s going to take time”. Have you ever noticed that time is that elusive thing we never seem to have enough of? This then begs the question of how much is enough time for the stimulus to start working before we start holding him accountable for this major bust that will put future generations into debt? If Bush were still in office, a week would have been all the time they would have given him to get the country back on track…but we know Obama will be granted more time than that. After all, he didn’t create this problem…right? So will it be six months? Oh, don’t be silly. Nine months then?….no, better guess again. Will it be a year? A full term? At what point do we say “when”? And when we finally do say when, where will we be as a country? More importantly, will it be too late. How long will it take before we, as a collective people, realize how stupid we are, and how completely we’ve been duped? Well, at least those of you that voted for him that is.
