Cheap Website Design, Cheap SEO is what you should do! I hate being thought of as a snitch, but the way I see it, what I call the "build it and they will come" lie is costing people way too much money to ignore. I literally hear it every day, now! Often, numerous times a day! Once you have blown your whole budget on a not very cheap website how can you afford even cheap SEO? Further, if you could afford cheap SEO where would you find it?
We rank high in the search engines for the terms Inexpensive SEO and Cheap SEO so we get calls every day from people who thought, as soon as they built their nice website, people would start to find them on the search engines. It is a really sad thing. It is not so much "caveat emptor" as it is "Let the buyer grab his ankles!" I don't know the Latin for that phrase!
Many of these people were told by their expensive web designer that they include search engine submissions right along with the not so cheap website design they provide. So now these people are calling me because I advertise cheap SEO and asking me why their expensive web design guy ripped them off. I guess I could say, "because you let him," but how are these new website owners supposed to know all about needing some kind of inexpensive SEO, or even that SEO exists, if their site is brand new?
We all know that business done on the internet is still fraught with deception, half truths and, often, downright lies. So to some degree we are willing to overlook simple omissions of the full truth, as when a web designer is overcharging someone for his website enough that he is afraid to bring up SEO because it is way easier to imply the person doesn't really need it. or to suggest "hey, let's get the website finished and deal with getting clicks later."
"Just take the money and run," as a not so cheap website design philosophy won't get you much repeat business but it isn't patently dishonest not to explain the answers thoroughly if you can dodge the questions until after you are paid for the website. It just isn't the way to do business! Happily, cheap SEO is usually still the answer!
So if you spent a lot of money building your website and weren't told about SEO at all, let alone the availability of cheap SEO or how you might get found on the internet without using SEO, all is not lost. Search for Cheap SEO on the internet and get found. Just be sure you are getting cheap aggressive SEO that actually works. Most cheap SEO companies offer a cheap website and cheap SEO deal which actually lowers the overall price if you do both services with their company. Be specific when you search Google for your cheap website and cheap SEO. If you are going to do both make your Google search for both.
