It is now summer and the wedding season, especially for celebrities, is reaching its peak. Former Ms. California, Carrie Prejean was recently married to Kyle Boller quarterback for the Oakland raiders. The couple was joined by friends and family in a simple and traditional wedding ceremony at the Grand Del Mar hotel resort in San Diego California, Ms. Prejean's hometown.

Ms. Prejean and her new husband went for a low key ceremony which is surprising considering the storm of controversey that Ms. Prejean went through for her answer concerning gay marriage in the Ms. USA competition. The bride and groom were wed in the Capella Church, which is on the hotel's grounds.

The bride was resplendent in a Mermaid style wedding gown designed by Ines Di Santo. The groom Mr. Oller was pretty dapper himself in a well tailord black Zegna tuxedo. While the bride's dress cost over $6,000 she didn't break the piggy bank of her bridesmaids. The bridemaides were dressed in coral hued dresses designed by Alfred Angelo. Though the dresses were designer they just cost a $175 each. That is defintely a nice bridesmaid gift.

The ceremony took place in the afternoon with the bride proceeding down the aisle of the Acapella church with a tightly wrapped bouquet of white roses. Ms Prejean kept here look simple with no head piece or tiara. Her only jewelery was her engagement ring and earrings producing in conjuntion with her gown a very simple and elegant look.

There are not many details about the reception but it is knonw that the bride and groom had a cocktail reception on the Aria Lawn of the resort. We don't know what type of summer wedding favors the bride gave to the guests but it was likely something that was reminiscent of her state.

The wedding is striking in that it was another wedding following the trend of simple and private celebrity ceremonies this summer. This doesn't mean that the venues of the wedding are cheaper or in most people's budget. The Grand Del Mar is major luxury hotel in the San Diego area. However, the wedding was less glaring than ceremonies in the past and there is no mention of any major Celebrity guests at the wedding.

Another key feature is that Mr. and Mrs. Oller went with a more traditional wedding ceremony and reception. The idea of having the wedding reception outside is a great summer tip for any bride wanting to take advantage of the great summer weather in their wedding planning.
