In the age of the internet, you can learn about literaly anything, from rocket science to everyday objects. One of these is the guitar, my favorite instrument. I wanted to find out if you can really learn the guitar online.

First I was sceptical about learning the guitar online. But paying for a private teacher was getting too costy for me. I liked to be able to ask questions, and have live instructions, but I decided that I'll try a rather basic online guitar course.

I can tell you, it was a pleasant surprise. Insctuctions were clear, there were videos showing what exactly should I do, and I made progress. And it cost me only roughly the cost of two private lessons!

After a while I tried out more courses for more advanced and specific guitar learning, and I liked them all, and made great progress.

Some courses teach you from the basics, some teaches from more advanced levels. I was suprised how there are courses, that teach you on real expert levels. Most of the courses also provide videos. In some cases only for showing what to do on your guitar, but in other cases, there are sites or courses that teach everything (and by everything I mean everything) by videos. Whichever way you prefer, you can find it online. It is also an interesting note that some courses teach you with the help of more than one teacher. I especially liket this, as I wanted to learn guitar from a more rock, metal approach, which was not taught to me by my original teacher. With the course I got more than one teacher, some excelling in acoustic, while others excelling in the techniques and styles I wanted to learn.

However you do need to be careful: there are bogus courses, which do not deliver what they promise, if they even deliver anything. I have a few tries like that, ending up unsatisfied and asking for a refund. It is not possible to learn the guitar in just a few days. If you do not practice, you will not make any progress.

Thus, it is extremely important NOT to buy any guitar course, unless you have read reviews about it.

My experience is, that there are good courses. Finding them will ultimately result in satisfaction and willingness to practice, and to use your guitar course. Also worth mentioning, that you will save quite a bit of money in the long run. And if you get stuck with a good course, there will always be a forum or a private messaging system, where you can ask your fellow guitar learning comrades, or even the teachers themselves.

I hope you will also find a suitable Guitar course for your needs.
