Finding the right bodybuilding program. Bodybuilding is a fantastic sport and past time but unfortunately the sport is full of steroids and that's the truth. There is no two ways about it. Most (nearly all) books, magazines etc. have pictures of world class bodybuilders who, lets face it didn't get that big on steak and potatoes or protein shakes.
But the good news is there still are some die hard, avid steroid free natural bodybuilders out there who slave away countless hours in the gym to gain good quality muscle and best of all stay healthy due to no side effects from steroids.
And even better news there are books and programs out there made by these natural bodybuilders for natural bodybuilders. Don't get me wrong the other programs are good too and you can learn from them but its not possible to work out like superstar bodybuilders with out taking illegal performance enhancers.
So finding a program to suit you is easy, just find one for a beginner and you can be on your way in the sport of bodybuilding. When choosing a book or dvd on bodybuilding make sure its good quality as they are expensive. Good quality books should have different programs for different people such as ones for losing fat, gaining muscle etc. and not only that but they should also give multiple work out programs that you will get use out of for your fist year at the least if not two years bodybuilding.
Good programs should not only be about lifting weights but also cardio which is vital to build muscle as the fitter you are the faster your growth and recovery. Diet should also be covered and go into detail about different foods for gaining or losing weight.
Safety is an extremely important aspect of training and all bodybuilding, fitness or weight loss books should cover it.
Once you find a good program stick to it and make sure to dedicate yourself completely otherwise no matter how good the book is you'll never see results! Follow each new program from the start and as soon as you see results you wont have a problem with dedicating yourself.
Don't be afraid to try something new either if you feel one excercise is creating problems or pain cut it out and find another one, there are plenty of excercises for each muscle so don't let this stop you.
Most of all training is a passion so enjoy it, there'll be times you want to give up but don't. Keep pushing yourself and the hard work will pay off.
