There is great need for bleachers in Hollywood, though people commonly associate them with parks and sports. With award shows and red carpet events occurring all over the city at any given time, bleachers are an essential for spectators and reporters in capturing their favorite celebrities as they celebrate, whether it be at a blockbuster film screening, or a star-studded award show.

Portable bleachers border Hollywood boulevard days prior to the Academy Awards, which are presented at the Kodak Theater in Los Angeles. Fans are provided with good vantage points from which to view the Hollywood A-Class with these bleachers having been brought in and set up along the sides of red carpets all across the city.

Though award season is now over, there is still a real need for bleachers, with film screenings occurring nearly every week and summer blockbusters approaching. With big budget films flooding theaters, this summer is a prime example of a time when bleachers will be in great demand. Hitting theaters all within the next few months, films like Captain America, Thor, Green Lantern, and the fourth film of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise will surely have reporters and supporters alike gathering outside their star-studded premieres. There is also an assortment of galas and other events; the summer months are particularly busy for the City of Angels, and in order to make room for spectators, it is good to have the valuable asset of portable bleachers available.

A lot of time goes into organizing events like these and like most things, presentation is everything. When you tune in to watch the Academy Awards or the Emmys, until the doors close and the ceremony begins, you see spectators and press crowding the stands, and flashing lights and cheers that don’t seem to end; you do not just see celebrities and press by themselves on the red carpet.

Much of Hollywood is about showmanship, and half of the reason why the stars show up in their flowing gowns and pressed suits is the fans. When they make their way in and out of these events, the energy is unparalleled, and it is all part of the show. It’s all for their fans, the people watching at home, and the crowds of people that gather, sometimes days ahead of time; in a way, they are performing.

Just like in the arena of sports, there is nothing like having your supporters come out and support you in person, close enough to interact with. One wouldn’t immediately think it, but bleachers are a large piece of that whole experience.
